On October 19, the meeting of the grant committee was held in the CHCA’s Tbilisi office. Representatives of “Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia” and Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia attended the meeting. The Grant Committee discussed about 25 business proposals of former convicts and probationers living in the Imereti and Shida Kartli regions. The grant committee selected the top 10 business proposals. Winners will receive grants of 3,000 and 1,200 EUR for starting or developing their own businesses.
300 convicts, former convicts and probationers will receive various types of benefits within the campaign #backtothesociety, the project is implemented in the regions of Kakheti, Shida Kartli, Imereti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and in Tbilisi.

Apple cider vinegar production
The production of apple cider vinegar is a family tradition for Tariel Gurgenidze. Within the framework of the project, he received a grant of 1,200 EUR. With this money, he will purchase tanks for the mass of apple cider and will be able to produce a large quantity of homemade organic apple cider vinegar.
The Campaign #backtothesociety will continue until 2020, and within the project 300 convicts, former convicts and probationers will receive various benefits.
