On October 26, in the “Center for Civic Engagement” in Gori Office was held working meeting with residents of IDP settlements (collective centers and cottage type settlements) located in Gori, Kaspi and Kareli municipalities. The purpose of the meeting was to identify the topics for the advocacy campaign and select working groups.
During the primary surveys and training of IDPs various problems were identified. For the advocacy, which will be held in November, the participants selected 5 main problems; they will hold round table meetings with local and central government officials.
CHCA is implementing the project in eastern Georgia with the financial support of the Civil Society in Development Fund (CISU) and with the partnership of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). The project covers 20 locations and will be completed in March 2018.
