The training was led by German specialists. The training topics were based on the successful experience of the Housemaster’s role in Germany. The purpose was to share the Housemaster’s necessary skills and responsibilities to young Georgian future Housemasters in the Imereti region.
The training included various topics that are necessary for the Housemasters in order to successfully manage Homeowners' Associations (HOA).
The topics of the training were:
• Components of housing provision
• Installation of drinking water systems
• Elements of heating systems and technologies
• Solar thermal processes for promoting water and heating
• Hydraulic balance
• Electrical installation and fire protection
• Basics of security liability
• Inspections and team work commitments
The project is being implemented by “Housing Initiative for Eastern Europe” (IWO e.V), the European Education Center for Housing and Real Estate (EBZ), Charity Humanitarian Center “Abkhazeti” (CHCA), and the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC) with support from the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. The project aims to provide trainings to internally displaced young people on housing issues and, based on German experience, prepare Hausmeisters for IDP settlements in Georgia. The ten best participants of the project will have a study visit in Germany to become familiar with the specifics of housing and local legislation of the country.
