With the financial support of the European Union 3 adolescents will be employed in a social enterprise - “Elva Delivery” - based in Telavi, whose monthly salary will be 375 GEL.

On November 9, in Telavi (University Street) social enterprises “Elva Delivey" was officially opened. The event were attended by local media representatives, project staff members and beneficiaries from three target regions.

The social enterprise was founded within the framework of project "Enabling Georgia’s Most Vulnerable Youth to Become Productive, Contributing Adult Citizens Through Mentoring, Training and Employment", which is being implemented by the CHCA together with the partner Organizations (Society "Biliki", "Divine Child Foundation of Georgia") in Kakheti, Shida Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti. The goal of the project is to support the employment of youth by providing trainings, internships and chances to be employed at social enterprises.

The social enterprise „Elva Delivery" is the third social enterprise established within the framework of the project. The necessary equipment for the delivery service (total cost 17 thousand euros) was handed to social enterprise, such as: mopeds, baking ovens, kitchen inventory and other. This equipment would allow the social enterprise owners to increase the number of employees and to make the business more effective; and to attract the large number of consumers. The service provided by the social enterprise is innovative in Telavi, and will provide local inhabitants and tourists with delivery service.

Within the framework of the project, 2 social enterprises will be established in each region (Kakheti, Shida Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianet, in total, 6 social enterprises) where 80 project beneficiaries will be employed.
