Charity Humanitarian Centre "Abkhazeti" (CHCA), established in 1995, is a Georgian, non-Governmental, non-profit organization that aims to improve the livelihoods of conflict-affected and other socially vulnerable persons and enhance their social and economic integration.

Individual Development Plans Creation for Partner Organizations
CHCA continues to actively support social and humanitarian organizations operating in Western Georgia, which enjoy a high level of trust and acceptance within their respective municipalities.

Based on CHCA's screening analysis and partner organizations' individual needs, 5 operational documents were created for these organizations.

Homecare beneficiaries were handed over the inventory
CHCA received special bathroom chairs, which we handed over to 10 beneficiaries with special needs of homecare service. These chairs ensure their safety, independence and comfort.
Information campaign to promote "rain gardens"
CHCA is actively conducting an information campaign aimed at promoting modern, nature-based solutions for stormwater management, including the "rain gardens".
Rain garden construction work has begun in Poti
In Poti, in the settlement of IDPs from Abkhazia (Abkhazia and Gagra streets), the drainage and sewage systems of residential buildings have been in critical condition for years, which leads to constant water stagnation in the basements, the spread of dampness and mold, a decrease in the structural stability of buildings, and an increase in health risks.
Spring activities in our Small Family-Type Children's Homes
Involving children in the spring cleaning of the yard is not just about keeping the area tidy - it is a process that fosters their sense of responsibility and independence. By taking care of a shared space, children learn orderliness, develop a work ethics and realize that the environment they live in belongs to them as well, and that they can take care of it.
Story of the Returnee - Zurab Ghviniashvili
A reintegration support program is actively underway, one of the current participants of which is Zurab Ghviniashvili, who returned to Georgia from Switzerland in 2025.
Valentine's Day at Chemi Mordu
On Valentine’s Day, our shelter welcomed special guests: volunteers from the “Mestumre” project, who celebrated the holiday with our beloved elderly residents.
Georgian language lessons in a small family-style home in Kurdgelauri
The beneficiaries are given the opportunity to overcome the language barrier, improve social communication with peers and adults, and actively participate in educational and public life, which directly contributes to their sustainable integration into society.
Clean-up activities in Poti
The condition of the basements of multi apartment residential buildings in the Poti IDP settlement has remained a problem for years. Contaminated and water-filled basements not only hinder the infrastructural sustainability of the buildings but also pose a threat to the residents’ safe living environment.
Visiting Lopota For New Years
The beneficiaries of the Kurdgelauri Small Family-Type Homes were given an unforgettable New Year's Day by Lopota Resort.The children were invited to a New Year's event, where they were hosted with warmth, joy and a real holiday atmosphere.
New Year in small family-type children's home
The residents of the children's homes in Lagodekhi and Kurdgelauri celebrated the New Year with a special experience. The children of the Lagodekhi home attended the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and the New Year's concert, which was an important and emotional event for them.
We continue to provide homecare services in the new year.
For us, in the New Year, care, attention and support for the elderly becomes especially important. The home care team of our organization works daily with the elderly, for whom constant support and support are essential to maintain a dignified life.

2025 was a kind of summary of 30 years of work for us - years when humanitarian assistance, protection monitoring and ensuring the safety of people were our daily responsibilities.
New Year's celebration at the Rukh Daycare Center
The children of the Rukhi Daycare Center organized a New Year's celebration. The children presented songs, poems, dances and small performances on stage, which were greatly appreciated by the audience.
Holidays in "Chemi Mordu"
It has already become a tradition that the Rukhi Multifunctional Center “Chemi Mordu” receives a lot of guests during the holidays! These days are full of joy and, most importantly, people who bring not only gifts but also sincere care and love to our elderly.
Support for organizations working on humanitarian and social issues
CHCA continues to work with social and humanitarian organizations operating in Abkhazia.
In September-October 2025, an in-depth assessment of 10 local organizations that work daily with conflict-affected and vulnerable groups was carried out. With the involvement of experts, their activities, experiences and challenges were analyzed so that the planned support was tailored to real needs.

Poti Energy Club - a community-based platform
In early 2025, with the support of CHCA, an Energy Club was established in the Poti IDP settlement - a community-based platform that brings together motivated young people to raise awareness on energy efficiency and renewable energy issues.
The goal of the club is to promote the rational use of natural resources and strengthen environmental responsibility in the community.
