On June 27, within the framework of the project "Supporting energy-efficient approaches in social service providers", a meeting was held with the first deputy mayor of Gori municipality, Nika Ghviniashvili, and the senior specialist of the infrastructure development and beautification department, Nika Karelidze.
Within the framework of the meeting, the project coordinator introduced the representatives of the municipality's mayor's office to the activities implemented and planned in the region within the framework of the project. The meeting also discussed the priorities of the municipality regarding the introduction of energy-efficient approaches and obtaining energy from renewable energy sources, the existing challenges in this regard and ways to solve them. The parties agree on the urgency of the issue and express their readiness to cooperate.
The project "Supporting energy-efficient approaches in social service providers" is implementing in three regions of Georgia, including the village of Khurvaleti, Gori municipality. The project is implemented with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Program (GEF SGP), which is implemented in Georgia by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
