A meeting was held at the Welfare and Development Center, attended by representatives of the Gori Municipality City Hall, members of the civil society and interested parties. The main topic of the meeting was supporting the home care program for the elderly and people with disabilities.
The participants actively discussed the topic and expressed their desire to implement similar programs at the local level so that lonely and vulnerable people have the opportunity to receive the necessary support in their own homes.
The meeting also included the awarding of the winners of the essay competition “We Will Grow Old Too” - a competition that addresses the topic of supporting the elderly and people with disabilities.
The project “Building Inclusion of Vulnerable and Special Needs Communities in Georgia” is implemented by the Charity Humanitarian Center Abkhazeti (CHCA); Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Georgia (ASB Georgia) and the Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC), with the financial support of the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF).
