In early 2025, with the support of CHCA, an Energy Club was established in the Poti IDP settlement - a community-based platform that brings together motivated young people to raise awareness on energy efficiency and renewable energy issues.
The goal of the club is to promote the rational use of natural resources and strengthen environmental responsibility in the community.
50 young people, most of whom are from the IDP community, joined the club. They were trained on energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate change, and environmental responsibility.
Key achievements:
-Clean-up campaign and sports tournament - to promote community engagement and a healthy lifestyle;
-Installation of small solar panels - to provide free charging for devices;
-Solar-powered outdoor lighting lamps - promoting safety and renewable energy.
The Energy Club brings together young people who are highly motivated, have innovative ideas and are highly responsible.
CHCA will support the club's strengthening - legal registration, the establishment of an organizational structure and the development of skills will be the final steps. After that, the club will be able to implement larger-scale projects and strengthen sustainable development processes in the community.
The Poti Energy Club is already an example of how youth initiative can become a driving force for community development
