Support for organizations working on humanitarian and social issues

CHCA continues to work with social and humanitarian organizations operating in Abkhazia.
In September-October 2025, an in-depth assessment of 10 local organizations that work daily with conflict-affected and vulnerable groups was carried out. With the involvement of experts, their activities, experiences and challenges were analyzed so that the planned support was tailored to real needs.

The assessment included:
• The impact of the organizations in the region
• Assessment of their internal regulations and administrative documents
• The quality of communication with beneficiaries
• Knowledge of local needs
• Organizational needs, strengths and weaknesses

As a result of the analysis of multifaceted data, individual development directions and action vision were formed for each organization. The assessment was based not only on self-assessment, but also on documentary evidence and the working context, which ensures the reliability and practical value of the process.

CSOs in the region perform an important social function, but often work with limited human, financial and technical resources. That is why support is phased and focused on real results in institutional strengthening, team development, system implementation and strengthening partnerships.

As part of this process, online trainings tailored to the specific needs of organizations were planned and conducted in December on the following topics:
• Effective communication with vulnerable groups
• Advocacy
• Monitoring and evaluation
Additional information about the trainings will be provided in stages.
