CHCA continues its active and targeted collaboration with social and humanitarian organizations operating in Western Georgia. In September-October 2025, an in-depth assessment was conducted for 10 local organizations working daily with conflict-affected and vulnerable groups. Based on the identified needs, specialized training courses were designed, including the 2026 "Humanitarian Operational Standards" session led by an expert with years of experience.
During the training, participants discussed core humanitarian principles—humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence—as well as coordination mechanisms, the "Do No Harm" principle, security protocols, and feedback systems.
Special emphasis was placed on rapid assessment, climate risk analysis, preparedness, early warning systems, and emergency planning. The training followed an interactive format, incorporating practical assignments and the review of international standards.
The session brought together directors and program managers from 10 humanitarian organizations operating in Samegrelo and Abkhazia, allowing them to share practical experiences and operational approaches. Such initiatives strengthen coordination and synergy between organizations, ensuring a more effective and needs-based response to regional challenges.
This activity was implemented with the financial support of the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation under ERICS Program.
