Many families living in Khobi Municipality continue to face the challenges of energy poverty.

Outdated and inefficient stoves increase firewood consumption, raise household expenses, and negatively affect both living conditions and the environment.

The situation is particularly difficult for families who, due to limited financial resources, are unable to purchase more efficient and safer heating and cooking solutions.

In response to this challenge, CHCA has launched an initiative to provide energy-efficient stoves within the framework of the project “Green Future: Rights and Resilience.”

The initiative aims to reduce energy poverty and improve the living conditions of vulnerable households.

To this end, the organization developed a transparent beneficiary selection mechanism, which included the use of special questionnaires, assessments of households’ socio-economic conditions, and field visits. Particular attention was given to identifying families most in need of support during the selection process.

As part of the activity, the beneficiary selection process has been completed, and the families that will receive energy-efficient stoves through the project have been identified.

The use of this new technology will help reduce energy consumption, lower household expenses, and create a safer and more comfortable living environment.

This step represents significant progress toward the adoption of energy-efficient and environmentally responsible practices and once again demonstrates that targeted support contributes both to improving family well-being and promoting sustainable development at the local level.

The project is being implemented by CHCA with the support of UNDP and the Government of Denmark.
