The aim of the study was to search perspective entrepreneurial directions existing in the target municipalities (Telavi, Gori, Mtskheta, Khashuri) to establish a sustainable social enterprise and to determine the important factors that provide a successful social enterprise.
CHCA is implementing the EU-funded project – “Enabling Georgia’s Most Vulnerable Youth to Become Productive, Contributing Adult Citizens Through Mentoring, Training and Employment ". One of the objectives of the project is to create social enterprises in Gori, Khashuri, Mtskheta and Telavi municipalities where children under state care will be employed after the age of 17. Youth employment is one of the prerequisites for providing social cohesion and quality housing for them after quitting state care system. To ensure the sustainability of the social enterprises, CHCA planned and conducted a study that envisaged studying local entrepreneurs, municipalities, social workers and care-givers attitudes in the target regions.
