On November 16, the President of the Federal Council of the Austrian Parliament, Claudia Arpa, along with Vice-President Doris Hahn, undertook a joint visit to the multifunctional community center "Chemi Mordu" alongside a delegation from the Council. This delegation included Thomas Muelman, the Austrian Ambassador to Georgia, and Alexander Karner, the Director of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

During their visit, the delegation familiarized themselves with the outcomes of a project facilitated by CHCA, supported financially by ADA, aimed at enhancing the facilities of the day center catering to children with disabilities.

▪️ Exploring further, they toured the elderly care center situated on the premises, engaging with the residents of "Chemi Mordu" and observing their living conditions.

Ambassador Muelman underscored the significance of integrating children and the elderly within the same environment for their mental well-being. He highlighted the pivotal role of such centers, particularly for those residing in close proximity to conflict areas.

Alexander Karner, Director of the Austrian Development Agency in Georgia, elaborated on CHCA's commendable efforts over the past four months to establish an environment that is adaptive, welcoming, and inclusive for children with disabilities.

Concluding the visit, the delegation, alongside CHCA representatives and the Mayor of Zugdidi municipality, symbolically planted a tree in the courtyard of "Chemi Mordu."
