Project Objective: To support internally displaced and local vulnerable persons in developing effective business initiatives in order to assist them in overcoming their economic isolation and to regain their financial independence and self-sufficiency through training and the issuance of interest-free loans for the establishment and expansion of small businesses.
Achieved Outcomes:
First phase: 76% of beneficiaries increased their income by an average of 36%. Additional benefits to beneficiaries within the project timeframe totaled GEL 200,000. The repayment rate of loans exceeded 98%.
Second phase: 455 individuals attended business management training, and 320 beneficiaries received interest-free loans totaling 282,840 GEL to start or develop their business activities. The businesses were funded in the following areas: trade- 87, production – 15, service – 11, and agriculture – 207.
Target Regions: Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Imereti and Samtskhe-Javakheti.
