Success Story of David Jashiashvili

Davit returned to Georgia from Switzerland with his wife last year. Upon his return, Davit participated in the "Supporting the Reintegration of Migrants Returning from Switzerland to Georgia" project, implemented by the Charity Humanitarian Centre Abkhazia (CHCA) in partnership with the Swiss Social Service (SSI).
Davit and his wife have extensive experience in the bakery business. Although they had to sell their inventory and rent out their workspace before leaving Georgia due to financial constraints, Davit’s primary goal upon returning was to relaunch the family business in his own facility.
After a thorough evaluation of his professional skills and the viability of his business plan, Davit’s proposal was approved by the Swiss partners, resulting in a grant of 4,700 Swiss francs. With this funding, the CHCA team procured essential high-quality equipment, including a stone top oven, a commercial refrigerator, shawarma and popcorn machines, a soft-serve ice cream machine, and a pancake maker.
Leveraging his prior experience, Davit expanded his product range to include modern fast-food items alongside traditional pastries, effectively catering to a broader clientele. His strategic vision and the established trust of the local community ensured a smooth and successful restart.
The funding process was completed successfully, and the bakery is now a thriving enterprise. For Davit, this project was a vital pathway to professional reintegration. "This support gave me the chance to reclaim the business I love. Thanks to the project, we have revived our family enterprise and secured our future here in Georgia through our own hard work."
