Silva Chalauri lives in an IDP settlement in Khurvaleti with her family. They had lived in Ksusi before being displaced. Silva is from Tsinagara, she is an ethnic Ossetian. About 15 women from the Khurvaleti refugee settlement were enrolled in the project. With the help of professional teachers, they created different handicraft products, such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, tablecloths, scarves, bags, and key rings. ’’Here in the settlement, we have a monotonous life. Craft lessons were different from our everyday life. We felt as if we were in a different world. We really enjoyed attending lessons. We had fun, talked a lot and shared our experiences. If the lessons start again, I will attend them with pleasure,’ she says.
