Project name: Social and Political Integration of Internally Displaced Persons through Participatory Civic Monitoring and Advocacy
Project goal: To contribute to inclusive decision-making for social and political integration of IDPs residing in Poti, Tskaltubo, Kutaisi, and Senaki municipalities
Target Groups of the Project: IDPs living in settlements
Project Activities:
• Conduct needs assessment of the existing CBO/HOA network to map the current capacity gaps among the network members
• Build capacity of the CBO/HOA networks in problem identification and prioritization and media relations
• Set up CCs and support their operations to represent the membership interests
• Cultivate partnership with local media outlets to increase public awareness of IDP integration issues and to support the project’s advocacy campaigns
• Organize the project concluding event with participation of various stakeholders, including public authorities, business community, and the media, to showcase the project results and discuss ways forward
Expected results: Barriers to IDPs’ social and economic inclusion are addressed through participatory civic monitoring and advocacy
