Supporting children and youth development in Georgia through the promotion of formal, non-formal and vocational education and through the acquisition of health protection and life skills.

The overall objective of this program is to develop the vital skills and competencies of vulnerable children and youth in order to maximize their integration into society. To achieve this CHCA operates an provides:
  • Small Group Homes
  • Enhanced infrastructure and equipment in public schools
  • Youth clubs providing informal education and opportunities for civil participation
  • Vocational training and internship
  • Psycho-social rehabilitation projects
The program targets children lacking parental care, school students, teachers, juvenile offenders, former inmates and those on probation.

Livelihoods and Economic Development

Supporting economic empowerment and development among the conflict-affected and extremely vulnerable populations and promoting their socio-economic integration in the society.

The main goal of this program is to provide assistance to vulnerable people to overcome their economic isolation and achieve financial independence and self-reliance. To that end CHCA provides:
  • Vocational training
  • Business and job seeking training and counselling
  • In-kind business grants
  • Access to interest free and soft credit
  • Social Enterprises
  • Support for agricultural businesses
The program targets Internally Displaced Persons, Persons living in the conflict zones, former migrants, eco-migrants and inmates.

Peace and Confidence Building

Protection monitoring of persons living within the occupied territories of Georgia, IDPs and conflict-affected local populations, identifying their special needs and providing tailor-made assistance.

The general aim of this program is to promote the concept of philanthropy in the business community and the general public. Specifically, this program aims to provide funding for persons with particularly urgent needs who cannot support from state programs. To that end CHCA provides:
  • On-off cash and material assistance
  • Medical Examinations
  • Treatment
The program targets persons living in the conflict zones, children lacking parental care and chronically ill individuals.

 

Community Development and Advocacy

To strengthen social capacities and infrastructure of conflict affected population in order to improve their living conditions and strengthen social capital. 

The aim of this program is to strengthen the dialogue between communities and representatives of local government on the critical issues that concern conflict-affected populations. Specific activities include:
  • Regular needs assessments and analyses
  • Establishment and development of homeowners associations and community based organizations
  • Workshops and consultations
  • Planning and implementation of advocacy campaigns
The program targets internally displaced persons and their host communities and representatives of local and central Government.
